Anissa Hampton, aka BIGG SEXYY, a soul artist and native of Chicago, began singing at the tender age of 3. There is where she spent her early childhood years before moving down south to Jackson, Mississippi. While attending Tougaloo College in the early 1990ís, she traveled with several renowned directors and opera singers such as the internationally renowned artist Grace Bumbry. Anissaís impressive musical range and undeniable charisma has changed the landscape of local entertainment as well as where she travels nationally. Anissa leaves you wanting more with her sultry inviting sound. Armed with the amazing ability of style, class and sophistication Anissa takes you on a journey through all genres of music and she quotes ìThere have been so many people with various styles that have been affected in my presentation of song and I never want to be boxed into just one categoryî. Depending on the mood Anissa is in or the mood from the audience is what she strives for. Anissa has opened for international artists such as Brian McKnight, Musiq Soulchild, Eric BenÈt, Regina Belle, and Michel'le and sung background for Legendary Soul Singers Willie Clayton, Calvin Richardson, and Keeshea Pratt. Anissa has performed in several countries such as Australia, Spain, and Germany. Anissaís road to the top of her musical game has been filled with the type of conviction that now caused a younger generation to look to her as a musical influence. Anissa says she's ready take her music career to another level and is positioning herself to becoming a sought after entertainer. I am ready to do and share what God has given me with the world, says Anissa. As a result, Anissa has released an EP with singles such as Big Sexy "Do You Really Wanna Leave Me" And also including her most recent track.."Talk to Me" Which debuted on the UK charts in the Top 10 of 2020. She helps and assists with the Jackson State University Marching Band, i.e. The Sonic Boom of the South and she is a member of Rho Iota Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. She's been a member of the Jackson Revival Center Church over 30 years under the pastorship of Ms. Jennifer Biard, daughter of the late Dr. Raymond O. Biard. |
