Anissa Hampton, aka BIGG SEXYY, a soul artist and native of Chicago, began singing at the tender age of 3. There is where she spent her early childhood years before moving down south to Jackson, Mississippi.
While attending Tougaloo College in the early 1990ís, she traveled with several renowned directors and opera singers such as the internationally renowned artist Grace Bumbry.

She helps and assists with the Jackson State University Marching Band, i.e. The Sonic Boom of the South and she is a member of Rho Iota Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
She's been a member of the Jackson Revival Center Church over 30 years under the pastorship of Ms. Jennifer Biard, daughter of the late Dr. Raymond O. Biard.
